SanDisk Extreme III Line Wins Readers' Choice Award from Studio Photography Magazine

Oct 18, 2007

Reliability and Durability Cited by Professional Photographers

NEW YORK, N.Y., Oct. 18, 2007- Earning high grades in the imaging school of hard knocks, the SanDisk Extreme® III line of flash memory cards has been named "favorite memory card" by professionals in Studio Photography magazine's 2007 Readers' Choice Awards. The announcement was made during PhotoPlus 2007 International Conference & Expo in New York City, where SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) is exhibiting through Saturday at Booth 1808 in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Studio.jpgReaders expressed high regard for the SanDisk Extreme III line, according to Alice B. Miller, editor of the magazine. Full results of the annual awards are available in the November issue of Studio Photography, but among the comments from voters were these:

• Fastest and most reliable cards out there."
• Never have errors or failures with these cards after many thousands of exposures."
• Outlasts all other brands I have tried."
• The only cards I depend on and the only cards that have never - knock wood - failed me."
• Reliable in extreme temperature conditions."
• Went through my washing machine at 190 degrees more than once and images were still perfect."

Tanya Chuang, SanDisk's director of retail product marketing for global imaging, said this award is particularly significant because it is based on the personal experiences of professionals - the most demanding users. "Clearly, many photographers have adopted the SanDisk Extreme III as their memory card of choice, and use it as the workhorse of their business," she said. "The SanDisk Extreme III line has proven its reliability in the field repeatedly, and in some of the harshest conditions imaginable. We're delighted that SanDisk Extreme III has become the standard by which professional-grade memory cards are measured."
