Lars Schwellnus is a videographer and Director of Photography for a German production company, ab der film (www.abderfilm.de). He shoots documentaries and reports for German TV stations including ZDF, WDR and Vox, as well corporate and image videos for clients like Smart, Mercedes Benz, Electronic Arts (EA), Kaufhof and Havanna Club.
Lars started as a trainee camera assistant in 1997, and learned how to film, direct and edit as his passion developed for sharing his own experiences with mass audiences.
Lars uses a variety of camera systems according to the project, such the Canon C300, Canon EOS 5D, Blackmagic Design cameras, the ARRI ALEXA XT and ARRI AMIRA, and only trusts his work to SanDisk Extreme PRO CompactFlash, SD and CFast 2.0 cards.
“I need to work fast on productions. SanDisk Extreme PRO memory cards give me the speed I need to record broadcast quality footage, the capacity to keep rolling, and the reliability to ensure that everything I capture is always there when I need it.”
